Rohit and Siya met at a place, they haven’t ever been. Rohit loves Siya very much. He had more respect than LOVE for her. Siya knew about Rohit’s feelings but due to social-customs of caste and religion she never allowed her heart to set free and accept his eternal LOVE.
Both had very good understanding and that is why they didn’t have any negative thoughts of meeting in such a secluded place. They chose this place to feel themselves aloof and away from the crowd. Free from the shackles of the society and its crippled customs where meeting of a girl and boy announces them as a couple or a sin.
They were sitting on a stone in a relaxed mood under tree sheds. Swift breeze made Siya’s hair flow. Rohit was admiring the beauty sitting in front of him and shared smile with her whenever she caught him starring. Air was mixed with the fragrance of parathas and achar, Siya brought for him. Surrounding was fully occupied with their innocent and heartily smiles.
At a distance, Rohit saw two other persons walking towards them getting him alarmed. Rohit thought they will cross pass. At the same time, Rohit wanted to make sure that no one else was around. Rohit’s love and respect had always proved to be a caring and protective blanket for Siya.
As the distance between them decreased, Rohit recognized one of the persons as his childhood friend Vikram, whom he hadn’t seen or heard from since years. The appearance of both the persons approaching looked rough and untidy. They were looking furious and caught Siya’s attention too. Both Rohit and Siya were paranoid.
Rohit became totally perplexed by the course of movements. “Should I meet my old friend or should I don’t recognize him as Siya is with me”. Rohit and Vikram exchanged smiles as they passed by.
In another moment, quick movements of feet followed. Other guy re-treated and by the time Rohit could sense what was happening; he announced a challenge to acquire Siya.
Rohit stood against for a fight and thought Vikram would give him a noble support but in return he found an extra opponent. They both had brutally beaten Rohit. Siya was also caught with some bruises on her beautiful face while she was trying to save Rohit. Her pink face was looking all blue-black and her lips were flooded with blood. Rohit was lying on the ground, half dead without any movement.
Vikram took hold of Siya and scared her with his gun thereby forcing her to accompany him. While the other person picked a big stone from the ground and was ready to drop it on Rohit’s head with full force, at the same time a loud fire was accompanied by a dead silence.
